Excerpt:

Forty-five minutes later, he lay back on the bench press. Sweat slicked his body and his muscles sang with adrenaline. For the first time since arriving in Mississippi, Trevor felt something other than apathy. Disappointment dwelled in his gut. He refused to attribute it to the fact Logan had not shown up. He was at the gym to work out, not scope out the local hero. And, there was the fact he still hadn't asked questions about the missing tractor.
Trevor closed his eyes and huffed out an agitated breath. Screw that. Logan was exactly why he was there and it was downright frustrating the man hadn’t appeared. Without opening his eyes, Trevor reached up and closed his fingers around the barbell. He sucked in air for the initial lift.
“Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to lift without a spotter?” Trevor’s eyes popped open and the air rushed from his lungs. Logan’s sexy drawl was enough to make a man’s knees weak, but with his ‘package’ displayed in skintight biker shorts mere inches from Trevor’s suddenly dry mouth, he floundered as if pole-axed. Logan grinned, obviously aware of the effect he was having on Trevor.
Trevor swallowed. “So, spot me,” he rasped. If possible, the mischief in Logan’s electric blue eyes intensified. He shifted position. Powerful thighs bracketed Trevor’s head. Logan squatted, back straight and hands on either side of Trevor’s on the cool metal. The position put the enticing bulge directly in Trevor’s line of sight. All thought of weights and lifting vanished. He licked his lips and wondered at his body’s fierce reaction to the man. Under the guise of adjusting his grip, he brought their hands into contact. No revulsion, no panic, just unadulterated lust.
“You’re buying me dinner tonight,” he blurted. Logan’s eyes went hot and hungry. “And, I expect a bit of…” The pause pissed Trevor off. He was a fucking man; the emo shit had to go. “I expect entertainment of the sexual variety.” A predatory look passed over Logan’s handsome face.
“Then, I suggest we get the workout done and make early reservations,” the man stated and forcibly lifted the barbell free of the rests. The reps passed in a blur, and they switched places. He mimicked Logan’s earlier pose and nearly came in his loose basketball style shorts when Logan’s hand—slipped. The brush of knuckles against his cock sent pure electricity flashing into Trevor's brain. He glanced around the room at the other men. None paid them any attention. It was the nature of the gym. Spotters and lifters were symbiotic and no one gave a second thought to stray touches or contact.
By the time Logan finished his workout, Trevor felt like a beginner training with a power lifter. The man knew his way around a set of weights and a barbell. Mostly, Trevor watched Logan while he cooled down. It only served to heighten his lust. Trevor didn’t know what it was about Logan that pulled at him, but he wasn’t fighting it. He hated the icy numbness he’d been living with, but even more he detested the fear and anxiety that overwhelmed him at another’s touch.
As if sensing his regard, Logan locked eyes with him. His broad shoulders bunched under the weight suspended across them. Massive quadriceps bulged when Logan squatted and returned to his six foot, four inch height. His shirtless torso gleamed with sweat. The eight pack of solid muscle clenched above the gorgeously defined V muscles pointing toward his crotch. The Mississippi sun had nothing on the heat Logan was putting off. Trevor was drowning in the waves of it.
Abruptly, he stood to relieve the tension in his shorts. The towel across his shoulders slid off his shoulders with a tug to cover the growing bulge. He edged closer to Logan who still sported the massive weight. Determined brown eyes met mesmerizing blue.
“Pick me up at six-thirty. I’ll make reservations for us in the city. Come prepared for an all-nighter. It’s been a while for me,” Trevor ordered, using up the last of his composure. The heat pouring off of Logan’s sweaty body intensified the arousing aroma of the man’s skin. So much so, it tied Trevor’s gut in knots. If he didn’t get his ass out of the gym, he was going to out them both right there on the spot.
Logan’s eyes and nostrils flared, sensing Trevor’s undisguised arousal. “I won’t be late. Business casual?” Trevor nodded and walked calmly toward his bag and the front doors. He felt Logan’s intense gaze every step of the way. His balls tightened and he gave in to the urge to bend over and give Logan a good long gander at his ass. Heavy weights crashed against the mats followed by an animalistic growl. Trevor grinned at his Nike bag, zipped it and left the building without looking back.

Excerpt

Men like Bailey were everywhere. Men who held themselves back because they feared how far they would actually go in life. Bailey, like his boss, was a ball of repressed anger and shame. He wanted things he didn’t want, he did things he didn’t want to do, and the darkness he buried within himself was so terrifying he avoided it whenever he could. Danny had discovered how to deal with these men; that offering their darkest fantasies without consequence was enough to push them over the edge. He’d done it with Phillip two nights ago, and he could do it again.
Danny dangled the bag, the suggestion rich in his eyes.
Bailey shook his head, but his attention never left the powder. “I’m on duty.”
Danny dared a step closer, his face getting dangerously close to Bailey’s. “I won’t tell anyone.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” he said.
“Then cuff me. Lock me up. Punish me.” Danny arched his eyebrow, seeing the interest flare in Bailey’s eyes. He pressed himself against Bailey’s larger, squarer frame. “I’ve been very bad. I need to be punished.”
Bailey licked at his thin lips, his eyes flickering between Danny’s and the drugs. Danny slipped the bag into Bailey’s hand—giving him the semblance of control. Carefully, he moved Bailey backwards, walking him towards the empty stall. One step. Two steps. And Bailey was moving on his own now; entranced, captivated. Danny moved his hands around Bailey’s solid body.
A siren rang out in the distance. Danny pulled Bailey close, slipped his hand into Bailey’s holster, grabbed his gun, and leapt free of the cubicle. Bailey’s lustful face transformed.
“Don’t move,” Danny said with a wink. He backed towards the exit, a mental countdown beginning in his head. He’d studied the quickest route out of the building. He could still make it. He blew a kiss at Bailey and fled for his life.

Excerpt:

Daymon let the words sink in, not quite able to believe his ears at first. Rhyder, the legendary swordsman, was going to be their captain of the guard. The same Rhyder that Daymon had hero-worshipped for months now, despite not once having laid eyes on the man. Stories were embellished over time and distance of course, but tales of Rhyder’s exploits had already become legend. He was one of the best warriors the kingdom had ever seen, as was his father before him, and the fact that he had no title to his name made this fact even more worthy of gossip and speculation. Rhyder’s mastery with the sword was possibly matched only by his fierceness in battle, or so everyone said, and both had caught the attention and imagination of the general populace.

Daymon could see why. He should have known that this was no ordinary soldier. He could barely make out his features from this distance, but there was an energy about him that all but demanded Daymon—and probably anybody else in Rhyder’s vicinity—sit up and take notice. At first glance, Rhyder’s looks alone were not particularly unusual; he seemed of average height and build, with medium-brown hair, eyes that were probably of a similar shade, and the same kind of complexion that Daymon had been surrounded by all his life. But only a fool, so Daymon thought to himself, would consider Rhyder in any way “average”, even if they knew nothing else about him.
“Ahem. Perhaps if we could get back to our studies…?”
“Oh!” His cheeks were no doubt burning again. But before Daymon finally pulled his eyes away, he saw Rhyder turn slightly, like he could feel Daymon’s eyes on him. Daymon turned away, as though caught in the act of doing something unseemly, but not before he was sure he had seen Rhyder smile.

Excerpt

He will come for you. Daymon’s good fingers stole up to his left ear, feeling the shape of the small jewel still threaded through the lobe and then the right, empty one. Rhyder was as strong and as fierce as all the stories said and as stubborn a man as Daymon had ever known. Once Rhyder had decided on something, there was no stopping him—and Rhyder had decided on Daymon. It didn’t matter if his father did nothing, too paralyzed by paranoia or drink to break his self-imposed confinement. It didn’t matter if Daylor, torn between genuine love for his brother and his strong sense of filial duty towards their father, was likewise unable or forbidden to act. Rhyder would come—if Daymon believed in nothing else, he would believe in this. It was the only thing left for him to believe. Where Daymon fell short of anything resembling strong or heroic, Rhyder was everything a hero should have been, and more. Where Daymon’s courage failed him, Rhyder’s would never waver.
“I’m sorry. Rhyder, I’m sorry….” The apology was as much for himself as it was for Rhyder, for his isolation, combined with the surrounding darkness, conjured to mind half-remembered fears from long ago. Yet perhaps, even now, his valiant captain was making his way here. Perhaps he was already nearby, and merely waiting for the right moment to strike. Perhaps—
The door to Daymon’s cell burst open with a high-pitched squeal, and Daymon held himself still, determined at least not to flinch away. He owed Rhyder that much. I’m not afraid, he told himself silently. I’m not afraid at all. You can hurt me all you want, but Rhyder is coming, and I won’t be afraid.
He only wished the last part were true.

PRINCE DAYMON CAME to with a stifled moan, pain dragging him back to unwelcome awareness. His entire body throbbed, but he kept his eyes closed, not wanting to be greeted with the sight of a bare cell or the bruises where he had been struck. The cold had numbed him to some of the damage, but he could tell without looking that several fingers were likely broken. Instead, he fixed his mind on what he had been dreaming of only moments ago.
Daymon did not remember his mother well, but he knew what she looked like from the portraits his older brother, Daylor, had kept. From his mother, Daymon had inherited hair as fine and dark as ink and eyes a deep blue, when both his father and his brother were golden-haired with eyes close to amber in color. Where they were tall, broad-shouldered, and olive-skinned like most of his ancestors, Daymon stood several inches shorter than nearly every other grown male he could name, his slight build and pale complexion further marking him as more his mother’s child than his father’s—as though anyone needed reminding. And yet, despite being too young to recall his mother’s voice, or so he thought, Daymon could have sworn he had heard her whisper to him.Just a little longer, the words had tickled past his ear. Just a little longer, and he will come for you. How could he not? But the sensation of his head being held, the fingers brushing softly through his hair, had vanished as soon as Daymon had woken, and although he had never really known her, he felt her absence now as keenly as though she had truly been with him.

Sweet William Cover

Excerpt:

FREDRICK HELD UP his glass and stared at the candle’s flame through the amber liquid. He took a sip and savored the rich, biting taste on his tongue, welcoming the burn down his throat. This was the very last drink he could afford and he had to make it last.
A giggle erupted from someone out of sight on the back staircase and a smile tugged his lips despite the dire state of his wallet. The laugh had been carefree, joyous, naughty. Fredrick shifted on the cushioned bench. The lunch hour had passed and he was the only customer in the dining room. He wondered if the innkeeper up front would notice if he adjusted his cramped cock as it throbbed in sympathy with the bright laughter.
Rather than risk it, he watched the fruit vender outside the window beguile a customer. Another giggle and stifled moan floated down to him and he grinned, even though the laughter emphasized his own loneliness. It had been far too long since he’d had someone in his bed.
Fredrick looked up at the clatter of footsteps, distracted from his memory of lush lips, white skin, and wide, hazel eyes. He caught a glimpse of red hair and an embarrassed cheek before the gentleman crammed a hat on his head.
“Damned Wilkerson,” the man muttered as he passed him, face averted.
With conscious effort, Fredrick loosened his hold on his glass, but he had no way to stop the wild hammering of his heart. Wilkerson? Could it really be…? Perhaps not, but he had to know. Before he lost his courage, he stood and swallowed the last of the brandy, then crossed the room to the staircase.
He shook his head at his eagerness. It had been three years, after all, and they’d parted in anger. Would William acknowledge him? A man stepped onto the landing and Fredrick allowed his gaze to travel up the white spats and checkered trousers. Blood heated his face when he found the silk vest and shirt open at the throat to expose soft white skin.
A sigh brought his gaze up to the attractive face that stirred his dreams. Rich brown curls surrounded lovely hazel eyes and full, pouting lips. Panic swept the pretty face, then a delighted smile revealed the even white teeth that had nipped his collarbone on more than one glorious occasion.
“Freddie, is it you?”
