It should have been an easy job: a contract signed and a new soul earmarked for Hell. But when suave demon deal-maker Saul chooses nerdy Thomas Ives as his next target, events take an unexpected turn. The lines between business transaction and pleasure blur, and Saul must decide whether he cares more for his professional reputation or the soul he just condemned to eternal damnation.

Review: 3.5 rounded up.

I loved the concept behind the story and Asta gave an interesting view over the whole soul buying concept. I hope there will be more stories coming out in this series, because the world has a huge potential. Tom is not so well developed as I would have liked, but Saul is definitely worth the read.

What I liked less was the present tense presentation and the whole talking with the reader throughout the story. Perhaps it would have worked better in past tense..?

Regardless, this is a story I recommend especially to those who adore demon stories.

NICKI J. MARKUS was born in England in 1982, but now lives in Adelaide, South Australia with her husband. She has loved both reading and writing from a young age and is also a keen linguist, having studied several foreign languages.
